How we authenticate every piece
Every item that passes through WearIt is inspected by our authentication team before it reaches the buyer. Here’s what that process actually looks like.

The hub model
We operate a central authentication hub in the UAE. When a seller ships you a piece, it doesn’t go directly to your door — it stops with us first. We inspect, photograph, authenticate, and only then forward it on. That extra leg takes a few days, but it means you never receive something we haven’t seen in person.
What we check
Materials and construction: stitching, leather grain, hardware weight, date codes, serial numbers, interior linings, zippers, feet, handle attachments.
Provenance: we cross-reference against the manufacturer’s public reference material and, for high-value pieces, against the seller’s documentation.
Condition: we grade and document every mark, tarnish, and imperfection, then compare against the seller’s listing. If there’s a mismatch, we’ll tell you before we ship.
Our guarantee
If our team isn’t confident a piece is authentic, we don’t forward it. The buyer is refunded immediately and the seller is notified. We’d rather pull a listing than let a doubtful piece go out under our name. That’s the only reason the WearIt promise means anything.
